Food Safety Audits

“Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Handling Practices (GHP) are voluntary audits that verify that fruits and vegetables are produced, packed, handled, and stored as safely as possible to minimize risks of microbial food safety hazards.” - USDA .

These are normally required by your buyer, and not something you would due voluntarily (due to the cost.) Best practice - always follow GAPs whether or not your buyer requires it.
