Keeping It Local
Since 2010, the Global Growers Market Co-Op has sold over $150,000 of local produce through our Farm Share program, farmers markets, and local restaurant and wholesale partnerships. We are committed to offering fair prices to our farmers and healthy food to our community. One of the greatest ways to support our farmers is by purchasing their food. Find us at the Decatur Farmers Market every Wednesday from 4 pm to 7 pm or the Freedom Farmers Market every Saturday from 9am to 1pm and pick up some of the fruits (and veggies!) of their labor.
85% of our produce is distributed at low or no cost to food insecure members of our community or is sold by grower to local small grocers and restaurants. Many of our farmers specialize in growing unique and culturally specific produce. We believe that food security and nutrition has as much to do with having the right foods as enough food.
Where to find us
Every week, we are at the Wednesday Decatur Farmers Market at 308 Clairemont Ave and the Saturday Freedom Farmers Market at 453 Freedom Pkwy NE by the Carter Center. Stop by, say hi and try some veggies!
