Meals with Matt

Global Growers Partner Farmers come from countries such as Burma, Malaysia, Nepal, Bhutan and Burundi. Our Farm Share includes vegetables that reflect and highlight the unique agricultural heritage and cuisines from these countries. In many instances, the vegetables might be new to your kitchen and you need a little extra know-how in order to prepare them. Well, don't worry! Every week Global Growers Farm Share Member and Chef, Mathew Green, will be cooking up creative recipes utilizing the ingredients he receives in his weekly Farm Share and sharing his creations on our website.

We are thrilled to feature Matt's recipes as a part of our Farm Share program, and we hope it inspires you to cook-up something new and delicious.

Mathew Green grew up in Michigan and his first career goal, when he was ten, was to be a stunt man. Abandoning that path, he found his way into the kitchen where he learned how to cook working in a series of farm to table restaurants. After graduating from the French Culinary Institute in New York, Mathew and his wife Christine moved back to Michigan where their three kids were born. They moved to Georgia in 2015. Now working as a restaurant consultant, he also spends time gardening with his wife, singing the entire Moana soundtrack with his kids, and attempting to eat at all of the Korean Barbecue restaurants in Duluth.
